Brett went to the Hale Reservation in Oklahoma for Scout summer camp. This was his first summer camp. He was gone for one week. At summer camp the boys choose merit badges to work on. Brett completed his pottery, snow sports, fishing and wood carving badges. He even earned his Totn' Chip. That means his is now authorized to carry a pocket knife. He is so excited and we are very proud of his accomplishments. He did admit he missed home, and even felt slightly home-sick on Monday night. That was also the night it was cold and they had a real bad rain storm. He had a great time and sounds like he really got to do some fun things. Brett, who always had very sensitive skin as a baby, is now experiencing it again. He did develop a very bad case of heat rash over his entire body! Now all the scouts will want to bunk with Brett because he gets a fan in his tent a night! Brett at his pottery merit badge class. He made a small statue for Doug for father's day. Brett ready to "ski" down the slope during his snow sports merit badge class. Brett having the best time during his wood carving merit badge class. This was his first pick when he got the list to choose from. A fun game of chess with some friends. Ah, good to be back in Texas!
