Bombers Baseball Game

Bryan has a collegiate league team: the Bombers. We took the boys to a game last night and had fun. Here we are with the mascot, Kaboom.

Me and Laura. She is wonderful. She has three boys herself. Her oldest, Matthew, and Brett have been friends since the 1st grade. We are in Cub Scouts together too. Laura is our Den Mother.
Doug, Robert, Zach, Brett and Matthew enjoying the game. The boys, (not Zach of course, b/c it would mean "work"), keep the score on kid friendly score cards. It really helped them follow the game.

The boys went down at the seventh inning stretch and sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" with Kaboom.

Zach's Camp Out!

Zach had a "camp-out" party this year. He was looking at a book earlier this year and decided he wanted a outdoor type cake decorations. We later modified it to a camp out, but he wanted to have it at a pool so he could jump off the diving board. (he is growing gills...I can't get him out of the pool this year!). In the school year Zach's class celebrated all the summer birthdays, even let each kid have a "special" day......ever since, he has been counting down. We had the party this weekend, Sat., July 11 at Thomas Pool. He is still counting till Thursday: July 16. The cake: of course, ice cream cake from Maggie Moo's. YUM! Smores/ gram crust, better batter with chocolate chips mixed in. All decorated like a camp out.....thanks to the legos, I finally found a good use for them!

Zach is ready to jump in! Waiting for the "go ahead" whistle.....
Now with it being so hot, even in the evening at 8pm, we had to have the cake early. If you look close, it is already melting.......Zach and good friend Jacob are ready to dig in.
Present time! I do believe we are in full stock of all types of nerf guns, light sabers, and swords. Should keep the boys occupied for a while (at least until Christmas-166 days and counting).
I wonder....a light saber maybe?
Cheese! "I'm going to party, like it's my birthday" Zach.
Zach and Garrett W. Love having great friends like him.

Zach at aTm Soccer Camp

Zach attended the aTm Soccer camp again....and loved it. This year the heat was way above normal: 100's, so the coaching staff moved the camp to the indoor athletic facilities! Wow, a whole football field inside. It was way cool! Zach and coach Phil. He was awsome and great with the kids. He is always able to make the kids laugh and get motivated!

4th of July

We participated in the Pebble Creek "4ht at the Creek" celebration. The kids were in the parade, Zach even decorated his bike! The kids then had fun playing carnival games, eating snowcones, and just being with friends. We then had a great lunch and hit the pool with all our firends. After a good nap, kids and dad of course, we ventured out to the George Bush Library for some more fun and the fireworks! What a great time celebrating the 4th.

School's out.....time to Party!

Zach's class had an end of first grade pool party. What fun. They ate ice cream, swam, and had a great time celebrating their last day of school.

Second Grader!

Believe it or not..... Zach is now a Second Grader! Yeah, he did it............ Zach and Jacob. Good friends, great times in first grade together. They share one important thing, they each have a 5th grade brother! Together they plot ways to get their brothers.

Zach, Jacob and Mrs. Byrne. She is absolutly wonderful. She is supportive, loving, caring, and most of all, patient with the kids. She understands!
Zach has a wonderful year with Mrs. Byrne. She was so caring, supportive, patient, and loving with Zach. She helped him grow, learn, and become a reading machine. We will really miss her. Mrs. Byrne will forever have a very special place in our hearts!

Brett has left the building!

Brett has offically graduated from Pebble Creek Elementary. Now onto Oakwood Intermediate. He had a graduation and even a "Panther Walk". (like Elephant Walk)...for the non-aggies Elephant walk is a ceremonial walk on campus for seniors. They are no longer able to be 12th men, so they go on a walk like an elephant does when it dies. After the graduation ceremony, the entire 4th grade walked the halls of the school.

Brett and Mrs. Westbrook. We loved her. She was sweet, kind and supportive. We had the best homeroom with her.
Mrs. Norton, Brett's reading teacher. She was great. She and Brett really connected during the fall after sharing their hunting stories. We loved her too.
Brett with a few friends after graduation. Brett, Josh, Carson, and Kenny. Good friends, great times and memories together.
Brett after "Panther Walk". He is Pebble Creek class of 2009 and high school class of 2017. (if your doing the math, that is Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2021!)
