Second Grader!

Believe it or not..... Zach is now a Second Grader! Yeah, he did it............ Zach and Jacob. Good friends, great times in first grade together. They share one important thing, they each have a 5th grade brother! Together they plot ways to get their brothers.

Zach, Jacob and Mrs. Byrne. She is absolutly wonderful. She is supportive, loving, caring, and most of all, patient with the kids. She understands!
Zach has a wonderful year with Mrs. Byrne. She was so caring, supportive, patient, and loving with Zach. She helped him grow, learn, and become a reading machine. We will really miss her. Mrs. Byrne will forever have a very special place in our hearts!

Brett has left the building!

Brett has offically graduated from Pebble Creek Elementary. Now onto Oakwood Intermediate. He had a graduation and even a "Panther Walk". (like Elephant Walk)...for the non-aggies Elephant walk is a ceremonial walk on campus for seniors. They are no longer able to be 12th men, so they go on a walk like an elephant does when it dies. After the graduation ceremony, the entire 4th grade walked the halls of the school.

Brett and Mrs. Westbrook. We loved her. She was sweet, kind and supportive. We had the best homeroom with her.
Mrs. Norton, Brett's reading teacher. She was great. She and Brett really connected during the fall after sharing their hunting stories. We loved her too.
Brett with a few friends after graduation. Brett, Josh, Carson, and Kenny. Good friends, great times and memories together.
Brett after "Panther Walk". He is Pebble Creek class of 2009 and high school class of 2017. (if your doing the math, that is Fighting Texas Aggie Class of 2021!)

Fourth Grade Goes to the Capitol

Fourth Grade made their field trip to the State Capitol! They were able to reschedule the trip, after the swine flu thing.

Brett's class sitting on the steps of the Capitol. They toured the grounds seeing all the different monuments, visited the senate chambers, and even spoke with our rep. Fred Brown. After the Capitol, they all went to the Bob Bullock Museum and enjoyed learning even more about Texas history.

Here he is with is demonstration. He showed how they come together, put off heat and form a solid. He recorded temps up to 200 deg.

OPAS Field Trip

The fourth grade had a wonderful field trip to aTm and attended OPAS Camp. The focus was Lantin America. They attended different stations learning different aspects of the fine arts. They listened to a Tango pianist, learned to tango, learned about different styles of Latin American dances, and even got to go to a instrument "petting zoo" where the tried different instruments. Brett and Trent learning the Tango. What fun!
