Brett goes to Baseball Camp

Brett went to a baseball clinic for a week. He learned the basics of the game. He had fun and baseball is all he can talk about! Here Brett is in the batting cage. He loved waiting for us to pick him up. The longer we took, the more time he got in the cage. He had moved up to the "med/fast" pitch machine. Here is Brett with Mr. Nick, one of the coaches! This is Brett with Mr. Moore. Trey Moore is the owner of Extra Innings. I have known his wife from church, PTO and dance/cheer. Trey played professional ball in Japan. Now retired, he runs this shop. Brett will be taking private lessons from Trey this summer to prepare for Fall Ball.

Soccer Camp for Zach

Zach went to another soccer camp. This one was through the Texas Soccer Academy. They are staffed with some of the most skilled people around. Some of the coaches have even played professionally! One is a professional coach from South America! This camp is very focused on the players skills and control of the ball. Zach had a blast. He was even recognized on the second day for best shooter! He was sick on Thursday, but returned on Friday and even received another recognition for his over all skill and week-long improvement! Way to go Zach. Zach is here with his coach from the camp and his friend Michael. They had a blast. Michael even received the most all around player of their age group. Michael is a real good player and has helped Zach too. They love to play soccer together, fall can't come early enough for these two soccer champs. Zach with another coach. Zach and Michael waiting for awards to start. They just finished the skill competition. Here Zach is in his age group skill competition. They had to control their ball while tring to get the other players balls out of bounds. All the while the border was closing in (the coaches were the borders, they keep getting closer and closer).

Cub Scout Night at the Pool

Laurie and Zach. Brett's Cub Scout Pack had the entire pool to themselves. We enjoyed having the room to play. What fun. Zach would become a fish if he could. If you even mention the pool, bathing suit or getting wet, Zach will be changed into his suit and in the car by the time you can turn around. Brett and his friends on the frog in the deep end. Very hard to get onto, but extremely fun to get pushed off of! Zach enjoying some ice cream after a good swim. Brett and Kenny. They are about to go across the "lilly pads". There is a obstical course across the pool consiting of floating lilly pads. There is a rope that you hold onto to help get across.

Camp Adventure

Camp Adventure. 2 weeks of pure fun. Each year the Kinesiology departement at A&M puts on this camp. Kids going into 3rd grade up to 7th grade attend. They are divided into "tribes". Each tribe has a Chief. That person follows them to each and every activity. The different activities have Chiefs as well. The kids do many activities, arts/crafts, games, side walk art and games, canoeing, archery, swimming, making ice cream, challenger course, golf, dodge ball, and the most amazing: repelling from the 7th level of the parking garage on campus. They start from the first level and each day move up to the next. Brett made it all the way to the 7th level! Brett had a BLAST. This is just some of the things he did. There were many more. To say the least, he came home every day and was tired! What a blast, can't wait till next year! Brett with Chief Lindsey. She was in charge of recreational games, sports and side walk games/activites. We know and love Lindsey from dance. She was a cheerleader at Thunder Elite. She goes to HS at Colsolidated. One of Brett's favorite! Brett with his Ottawa tribe members. Brett getting his Camp Adventure award.

This is Chief Jordan. He was the leader for the recreational games and activities. He taught canoeing. Brett and Chief Josh. This was the "Chief" that was in charge of Brett's tribe: Ottawa. He was the leader of 12 boys. He lead them around all day and followed them to each activity. He is attending college in Austin. Brett with Chief Sarah. She as an activities coordinator. She was in charge of arts and crafts as well as some game activities. This was Brett's favorite "Chief". She will be attending college in the fall.
Chief Martha! This womas is AMAZING. On the first day, she knew every kid by their name. She was excited about camp and made the kids excited too. She as been doing Camp Adventure since 1996.

Aggie Soccer Camp 2008

Zach and Christopher at soccer camp. A&M puts on an annual soccer camp at the girls soccer complex. The aggie girls are the Big 12 divsion champs. They are amazing to watch. We go to a few of the games during the season, and Zach loves to watch them go at it. It was very hot,but very FUN. Every day after camp Zach and Christopher (with moms) went to lunch and hung out for the afternoons. What great friends. What a great way to start the summer.

Zach was very excited to go to soccer camp this year. For the past 4 yrs he has watched Brett go, and had to wait. Now, it is Zach's turn. Yea! Zach woke up early every day, got dressed and shingards on fast to be first ont the fields. He has another soccer camp later this month, he is ready!
This is Zach with his soccer camp coach, T.J. He is an education major at A&M, plans to student teach in the fall and hopes to stay in town to teach math and coach sports. He was just outstanding with the kids, he really has a gift when it comes to motivating and keeping up with seven six-year olds.

Zach has Graduated from Kindergarten

Mrs. Gresch and Zach. The best teacher EVER! Mrs. Gresch has helped Zach in so many ways. Because of her hard work and diligence, he has grown, matured, and loves to read. We will miss her more than words can say! She is very special to our whole family, not only has she been the Zach's kindergarten teacher, she did her student teaching in Brett's first grade class! There will always be a place in our hearts for Shannon Gresch!

Zach with some of the kindergarten class. The senior class of 2020!

Proud parents. Brett did not want to leave his class to join the kindergarten graduation. He loves his teacher and class and really did not want to miss one more moment with them. So here is some of our proud family!
