Brett in Space

Brett got to go to the NASA space center Space Camp with his Cub Scout Pac. Doug went too. They saw the Shuttle, Mission Control, and sat in the cockpit of a shuttle simulator. Brett is here in front of a model.
Brett really did hang the moon. During camp the boys learned about constellations, toured the center, learned about satellites, and even built and launched rockets!

Brett is here with the tour guide. He is a pilot for NASA. Brett was very impressed. Doug and Brett sat in the very room where the Lovell family sat and watched the broadcast from the Apollo 13 mission. They even saw the original control room with the exact speaker box that those famous words were spoken from. Very stomach cringing moment.

Everyone sleep on the floor in the Skylab room. They woke up like true astronauts: to music with a 30 min. time frame to wake up, pack, get ready and get to the mess hall. Note: no women attended the camp.

Super Chickens

Zach (otherwise known as "Leopold") with Zach and Michael. Thanks to Zach C. (in the middle) and Michael, Zach has become a very outgoing and GREAT soccer player. They play hard and have fun. Their smiles say it all. Go Super Chickens!!!

In action: the Super Chickens are working hard and working together to make the plays work.

Zach about to throw the ball in after it was kicked out of bounds by the other team. Note: now you can see his knees..... We can tell the age or division of the players by how much leg shows. When the boys started there was no leg/knee showing. As they get older, you start to see knees in between the gards and shorts.

Zach is proud. He made a GOAL, and is ready to get the next play going. Go Super Chickens!
